James 1:27
"Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world."

-- I am going to venture a guess and say that James is not talking about sitting down with orphans and widows for a cup of coffee while on a mini-vacation to a town called Affliction....



I honestly don't know what to do with this... What an excruciating death it's going to be for me to really love my neighbor as I do myself, to store treasure up in heaven and not on earth, to love as commanded by our Lord on earth... This is going to hurt. I don't even know how to start... Lord show me the way!!
